Clean Your Social Feed!
All right, a lot of people are cleaning their social media (which is good) and updating it, I did too.
Not going to boast that I cleaned this or that much, but going to share tools that you can use for yourself.
Here is a list of ALL tools which I used in cleaning Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter account.
I used only Chrome extensions for this.
- Facebook Friends Remover. It lets you filter your friends based on active/inactive activities, and shows basic details like bio, last interaction, etc. on the selection page. Features: active, inactive and total friends count; a graphical view of active versus inactive friends; viewing friends based on that filter; viewing a friend’s about-me info and birthday; detecting who comments or likes your posts.
- Social Book Post Manager. I use this regularly every few months. I’ve deleted more than 2000+ posts, activities and interactions with the help of this lovely extension till now. It helps you delete your posts through the activity log, which includes posts by you, and by other persons/apps. You may specify “Year”, “Month”, “Text Contains”, and “Text Not Contains” filters for posts to delete. Plus the activity log filters provided by Facebook, you have full control of which posts to delete, and which posts to keep.
- Toolkit for FB. A collection of automation tools for Facebook. It contains multiple tools that can perform tasks like unliking all pages, unfollowing all friends, inviting all people, accepting bulk requests, and much more. Google has removed this extension from its web store.
- Leave Multiple FB Groups. Lets you select and leave multiple Facebook groups at once. Simple.
- Delete Social Media Posts, Photos, etc. Lets you delete activity, photos and messages in bulk.
Linked Helper. I personally used it for removing my LinkedIn connections but it does much more. It’s a paid extension but gives you a 14 day trial.
Followers & Unfollowers. It lets you see insights on your Instagram profile. You can easily unfollow 50 people who don’t follow you back. You can even whitelist (star) people so that they don’t get unfollowed. It also gives you insight on people who are mutual followers, people whom you are not following, and even the recent unfollowers of your Instagram profile.
Well, I used no tools for cleaning because my profile was already clean, haha.
Nuke Reddit History. It helps you overwrite and delete all your comments on Reddit. Scrub your comment and post history on Reddit with this open-source handy tool.
PS: Use these tools at your own risk, as most of them violate the platform’s TOS.
