Logbook No. 3 · written while stuck at Silk Board
I’m building the reason you leave the house tonight.
This is my logbook: a school blog that became a startup, a few companies I’ve started and closed, a stint as a professional chaos manager venture builder, and what I’m cooking now in Bengaluru, a city where everyone has a startup idea and nobody has a free Saturday.
It began as a school tech blog (yes, the nerdy kind). That became my first startup: five people, 1M+ annual visitors, then an exit. Since then I’ve built in SaaS, solar and IoT, plus a stretch as a venture manager at a venture builder, where I learned what keeps startups alive. Other people’s, mostly.
I applied for a BBA, graduated left after a few classes, and went back to building. Since then I’ve started companies, lost closed some, revived others, and scaled a few to take on industry leaders. Raised in a defence family among many cultures, so I collect people the way others collect fridge magnets. Weekends: mountains, travel and sci-fi documentaries, ideally far from the ORR.

AfterFive is a social platform for discovering local events: bootstrapped, Bengaluru first. This city has a brewery for every mood and a meetup for every hobby, and still plenty of us spend Saturday night with a delivery app and a screen. AfterFive is my attempt to fix that. I’m usually at the events myself, helping the hosts.
